I remember my first time at Namm, years back, when it was actually held in L.A. It inspired me to invent some guitar gadgetry so we could have our own booth and be part of “NAMM Madness!”

Bob has played in hobby bands for years. One nite at a gig, the band was taking a short break and he went to lay his guitar in his case. Horrors, someone had removed the case from the stage,so being the “gearhead” guitar player he is, he improvised and used the orange plastic cable holder, stuck it under the handle of his amp and leaned his guitar against it. This allowed people to walk around freely and not knock the guitar over.

And the Strutt is born, Joan was cleaning out her closet and trying to figure out what to do with the 20 pairs of thongs lying in the closet. She remembered Bob’s dilemma the previous nite and hacked oops cut thongs (the kind you wear on your feet) until one fit under the handle and could hold the guitar. However, not being very adept with a matknife, she brought Bob into their music room and said. “Honey, I know you can make something out of this”! And he did!

Years of design, patent and trademark filing, finding a reliable manufacturer, learning labeling, importing, exporting laws and much much more, finally results in the Strutt being released at THE NAMM SHOW!

We are working on a new shapes and designs and are proud to say we have sold our
Strutt internationally!
